Hawthorn ENT brings together specialists with complementary areas of expertise. Patients may be referred to a particular doctor, or our reception team can assist with directing a referral to the most appropriate specialist.
Dr Philip Michael
MBBCh, FRCSEd (ORL-HNS), FRACS (ORL-HNS)
Dr Michael’s practice is principally focused on disorders of the nose and sinuses, nasal obstruction, functional and aesthetic nasal surgery, and common paediatric ENT conditions.
Dr Depak Patel
MBChB, FRACS (ORL-HNS)
Dr Patel’s practice is principally focused on neck lumps and head and neck tumours, thyroid and parathyroid disease, salivary gland conditions, voice and laryngeal disorders, and general adult and paediatric ENT.
Choosing the appropriate specialist
Dr Philip Michael
Referrals for nasal obstruction, sinus disease, rhinology, nasal surgery or general children’s ENT are generally directed to Dr Michael.
Dr Depak Patel
Referrals for neck lumps, thyroid or parathyroid disease, salivary gland conditions, head and neck tumours, voice or laryngeal disorders are generally directed to Dr Patel.
Where the most appropriate specialist is uncertain, our reception team can arrange clinical triage of the referral.
